PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for lighting which has a structure achieving excellent waterproof performance.SOLUTION: A light source for lighting includes: an LED module 10; a globe 30 having an opening part 31 and covering the LED module 10; a driving circuit 40 for driving the LED module 10; a housing (a heat sink 70 or a housing 60) which has a first opening part enclosing the opening part 31 of the globe 30 and is formed so as to enclose the driving circuit 40; and a first seal member 110 which is an elastic body formed into an annular shape in advance. The first seal member 110 is sandwiched by the opening part 31 of the globe 30 and the first opening part of the housing (the heat sink 70 or the housing 60).
