PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ideal image forming method which enables full color recording at a high speed with high quality on commercial printing paper and is excellent in dryability and abrasion resistance of a recorded matter.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming method which comprises: a step of ejecting inkjet ink containing a coloring agent, a water-soluble organic solvent, a surfactant and water onto the surface of a recording medium having a coating layer on at least one surface of a support to form an image; and a step of heating the image at 100 to 150°C either during image formation or after image formation in the image formation step to fix the image on the recording medium, wherein the water-soluble organic solvent contains at least a compound represented by the following structural formula (I). <Structural Formula (I)> |
