PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission method which can efficiently perform timeline extension.SOLUTION: A transmission method transmits a first stream including: timing update identification information id1 indicating whether correlation is updated between a first reference clock to be used for transmission and reception of the first stream and a second reference clock to be used for transmission and reception of a second stream related to a content to be synchronously reproduced with a content of the first stream; the first time in the first reference clock; and the second time in the second reference clock associated with the first time on the basis of the updated correlation.
