<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that possesses a liquid crystal phase over a wide range of temperatures, has a low viscosity, has a good solubility at low temperatures, has a high specific resistivity and voltage retention, and is stable against heat or light, and further to provide a liquid crystal display element such as IPS type or TN type that is excellent in display quality and prevents a display failure such as burn-sticking or dripping mark with a good yield by use of the composition.SOLUTION: Provided is a composition comprising a compound represented by formula (M-2.5), as well as a liquid crystal display element employing the same.</p> |
