PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field detector and a current sensor, capable of improving degree of freedom in selection of a type of a magnetic field detection element.SOLUTION: A magnetic field detector 1 comprises: a conductor 3 generating a magnetic field; a C core 2 provided so as to surround the conductor; and a magnetic field detection element 4 detecting a magnetic field. The C core is provided with a gap G1, and the magnetic field detection element is arranged in a position outside the gap, in which the magnetic field generated by the conductor can be detected. A direction of the magnetic flux passing through the magnetic field detection element can be suitably selected by suitably selecting an installation site of the magnetic field detection element 4 because there are a variety of magnetic flux directions of a magnetic flux depending on sites if the magnetic field detection element is outside the gap, thereby the degree of freedom in the selection of a type of the magnetic field detection element is improved. |
