1. A multiple balloon catheter for obtaining hemostasis in a vascular structure, said catheter including a connector for a syringe and a connector for a guide wire, said catheter comprising:
a) a first lumen wherethrough the guide wire may be directed for positioning said catheter in the vascular structure; b) a second lumen wherethrough a fluid from the syringe may be selectively directed; c) two or more balloons arranged in serial fashion along said catheter and in fluid communication with each other and with said second lumen; whereby delivery of fluid from said syringe into said second lumen causes at least one of said balloons to inflate and occlude the surrounding vascular structure.
