To minimize increases in the complexity of a transmission/reception process when a user terminal supports a plurality of bandwidths or connects simultaneously to a plurality of wireless communication systems that use different frequencies. This user terminal, which communicates with a wireless base station that serves a large cell and a wireless base station that serves a small cell in a wireless communication system in which said small cell is provided inside said large cell, is provided with the following: a reference-signal generation unit that generates, as a reference signal, a sampling frequency for the baseband signal of the large cell; a frequency adjustment unit that multiplies the frequency of said reference signal by n/m; and a baseband processing unit that uses the new frequency as the sampling frequency for the baseband signal of the small cell.
