PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration oil having enhanced safety from a point of view of fire resistance and a hydraulic fluid composition for refrigerator.SOLUTION: There is provided a refrigeration oil containing polyalkylene glycol represented by the general formula (1):R-(OR)-OR(1), where Rand Rmay be same or different and each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or an acyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, Rrepresents an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms and n represents an integer with the number average molecular weight of the polyalkylene glycol represented by the general formula (1) of 1000 to 2500, having percentage of an ethylene group to an alkylene group represented by Rin the general formula (1) of 30 mol% or less and a ratio between the weight average molecular weight Mw and the number average molecular weight Mn, Mw/Mn of 1.00 to 1.15, and used with finely fire combustible hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant. |
