摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving combustibility of unburned combustible in a stoker furnace without increasing the size of an exhaust gas treatment apparatus in a subsequent stage even in a case of thermal disposal of radioactive waste having a relatively low combustion speed.SOLUTION: A radioactive waste incineration apparatus 10 includes: a rotary kiln furnace 12 for agitating and burning fed radioactive waste; and a stoker furnace 24 for burning unburned combustible in residue discharged from the rotary kiln furnace 12. The stoker furnace 24 includes: a furnace casing 34; fire grates 38 for conveying the residue; and a plurality of nozzles 42 provided on a sidewall of the furnace casing 34 and for supplying air into the furnace casing 34. The residue from the rotary kiln furnace 12 is supplied onto the fire grates 38. Tip ends of the nozzles 42 are configured so as to directly bring into contact with the air supplied from the nozzles 42 to the residue on the fire grates 38.</p>
