Disclosed are a device and a method for changing a channel. The method for changing a channel according to the present invention comprises: receiving broadcast signals from a plurality of channels; decoding a broadcast signal of at least one of the plurality of channels to be viewed and outputting the decoded broadcast signal; creating and storing a table including address information and time information for decoding the broadcast signals of the remaining channels; and when a command to change the channel being viewed to one of the standby channels is received, decoding the broadcast signal of the standby channel by using the table and outputting the decoded broadcast signal. Accordingly, resources required for processing broadcast signals are minimized and the channel changing speed is improved. |
