<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program playback device and a program synchronization method, enabling efficiently viewing in a free time by synchronizing a multiplicity of video recording programs a user likes, even when a time for synchronization is limited. <P>SOLUTION: The program playback device includes: a communication unit 201 for receiving metadata of video recorded programs including program data sizes from a video recorder 103 having video recorded programs; a calculation unit 208 for calculating, from the metadata of video recorded programs received in the communication unit, a playback recommendation degree representing a user taste for the video recorded programs and a synchronization recommendation degree representing the degree of recommendation of synchronization using a function producing a larger value, as the playback recommendation degree is higher and the program data size is smaller; and a control unit 209 for controlling to synchronize the video recorded program data received in the communication unit 201, on the basis of the playback recommendation degree and the synchronization recommendation degree calculated in the calculation unit 208. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
