<p>The present invention relates to an adapter device and a method for controlling an adapter. The adapter device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a control integrated circuit (IC) to perform an overcurrent protection operation according to a feedback input signal; an overcurrent control unit to determine whether an output current provided to an output terminal is greater than an overcurrent threshold; and a switch unit to adjust the value of the feedback input signal according to the output of the overcurrent control unit, wherein the overcurrent threshold is independent of an overcurrent threshold set to the control IC.</p> |
