<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor and a method of driving the same capable of realizing low cost, reduction in cogging torque, and high power, and of making the physical constitution smaller and reducing the weight. <P>SOLUTION: In a rotor core 16, a shaft fixing cylindrical part 21 and a magnet fixing cylindrical part 22 including therein an outer peripheral surface of the shaft fixing cylindrical part 21 at a constant interval are coupled with each other and held at a constant interval by a bridging part 23. An air gap 25 sectioned by the bridging part 23 is formed between an outer lateral face of the shaft fixing cylindrical part 21 and an inner lateral face of the magnet fixing cylindrical part 22. Since the specific gravity of the rotor core 16 can be reduced due to the air gap 25, the weight of the whole motor can be reduced. In addition, by forming the air gap 25 between the shaft fixing cylindrical part 21 and the magnet fixing cylindrical part 22, the magnetic flux of a magnet MG can be concentrated to adjacent salient poles 24. Further, magnetic balance of the salient poles 24 and the magnet MG which is formed alternately in a circumferential direction of the rotor core 16 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
