The invention relates to a method for displaying images on a display device (3) of a motor vehicle (1) by way of capturing a camera image (BK) of a surrounding region of the motor vehicle (1) by means of a camera (5, 6, 7) of the motor vehicle (1), by way of capturing information about the distances between the motor vehicle (1) and objects (12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) present in the surrounding area, by way of subdividing the camera image (BK) into at least two image regions (B1 to B4), in which the respective objects (12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) are depicted at different distances from the motor vehicle (1), by means of a computing device (4) of the motor vehicle (1), as well as by digital processing of one of the image regions (B1 to B4) independently of the other image region (B1 to B4) by means of the computing device (4), and by composing the image regions (B1 to B4) to form a display image (BA), as well as by displaying the display image (BA) on the display device (3). |
