<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution for dye-sensitized solar cell which can be used over a wide temperature range without generating gas, and has excellent durability and conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrolytic solution for dye-sensitized solar cell containing a chain sulfone represented by a general formula (1) as an organic solvent, and a halogen compound having a counterion of halogen ion and halogen molecules as redox electrolyte, the halogen compound contains a spiro type quarternary ammonium cation.
