摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide perlite which is hard to be broken during transportation and at handling, and has excellent impact resistance after production, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the perlite obtained by heating and foaming a mineral raw material, and the method for producing the same. The perlite suppressed in change of the bulk density is produced by separation-removing high-density particles each having a particle diameter of≥45μm and apparent density of≥1.0 g/cm<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, after the heating and foaming. The separation-removement of the high-density particles is carried out by subjecting the foamed particles to wind power under controlling wind velocity, or by putting the foamed particles in water to separate into floating particles and settling particles, followed by sieving the collected floating particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
