<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine in which durability and detection accuracy of a state quantity sensor can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes a direct injection valve 20 injecting fuel directly into a combustion chamber 17 and a pressure sensor 22 directly detecting the pressure inside the combustion chamber 17. The direct injection valve 20 and pressure sensor 22 are fitted in such a way that an injection hole of the direct injection valve 20 and a detection part 22A of the pressure sensor 22 are exposed to combustion gas inside a cylinder at a surrounded portion which is a portion of the cylinder inner wall on a side closer to the cylinder bore wall surface than to intake valves, the periphery of the surrounded portion being surrounded with two intake valves and the cylinder bore wall surface. The direct injection valve 20 and pressure sensor 22 are fitted in such an arrangement aspect that fuel injected from the direct injection valve 20 does not directly collide with the detection part 22A of the pressure sensor 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
