The invention relates to a fluid coolant filter assembly (100), which comprises a fluid pump (103) driven by a pump motor (103). The fluid pump is used for pumping a fluid to flow through a fluid filter (106) and a fluid cooler (112). The fluid cooler is used for cooling the fluid. The pump motor (103) is supplied by a pump current converter (103). The pump current converter is adapted to control the rotational speed of the pump motor (103) in response to a pump control value.
