<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved shell feed-type gas separation membrane module. <P>SOLUTION: The shell feed-type gas separation membrane module is composed of: a hollow fiber element; a container which is provided with an aperture for getting the hollow fiber element in and out, a core-tube fixation part which fixes a core tube and has the function of guiding gas to the outside of the container, and a mixed gas-introducing hole; a cover which has a permeated gas-emitting hole and closes the aperture; and a porous plate put between the hollow fiber element and the cover. In this case, the hollow fiber element is composed of a hollow fiber bundle which bundles hollow fiber membranes so that their apertures may be trued up at one end of the bundle, a tube plate, and the core tube which is positioned nearly at the center part of the hollow fiber bundle and one end part of which is fixed to the tube plate and the other end part of which is fixed to the core tube fixation part. Further, a gas flow channel, which communicates with the outside of the container via the core tube fixation part from the outer side spaces of the hollow fiber membranes, is formed in the core tube, and a part of the porous plate contacts the tube plate, and a concave part, which becomes the gas flow channel of at least 1 mm in depth, is formed on the other parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
