PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in quality of images recorded by a second image recording unit.SOLUTION: A recording device includes a conveying unit 30, a first image recording unit that has a head discharging ink, a second image recording unit 20 that has a photosensitive drum 21 and a transfer roller 22, a moving unit 60, and a control unit that controls these components. The moving unit 60 moves the transfer roller 22 to take a contact state where the photosensitive drum 21 and the transfer roller 22 are in contact with each other and a separation state where the photosensitive drum 21 and the transfer roller 22 are separated from each other. The control unit controls the moving unit 60 so that the photosensitive drum 21 and the transfer roller 22 take the separation state when the first image recording unit performs image recording on a sheet P, and the photosensitive drum 21 and the transfer roller 22 take the contact state when the second image recording unit 20 performs image recording on the sheet P. |
