<p>The method involves detecting information concerning respective distances (dx) to five ahead-driving motor vehicles (13-17), respective actual-speeds (vx) and actual accelerations (ax) of the vehicles on a part of a control device of an adaptive cruise control system. The longitudinal guidance of another motor vehicle (1) is carried out depending on the information. The vehicle is controlled such that a minimum distance is maintained to the ahead-driving motor vehicles independent of the information. The information is formed as yaw rate, wheel angle, predictive route data and/or image data.</p> |
