PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the display area of displays.SOLUTION: A display device for a vehicle comprises displays for displaying at least one type of a physical quantity and a display control unit for allowing the displays to display the physical quantity. The displays have a numerical display for displaying a numerical value having a plurality of digits and a unit display composed of a plurality of units to indicate at least one type of a physical quantity. The numerical display has a numerical segment group that indicates a numeral in each digit. The unit display has a plurality of symbol segments that indicate symbols constituting a plurality of the units. The display control unit selects one of a plurality of the units and allows the unit display to display a symbol segment indicating the selected unit and allows the numerical display to display a numerical value indicating a physical quantity corresponding to the selected unit.
