PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display element with high versatility, capable of reducing unerased images without using rare metal and performing good display, and to provide a manufacturing method of the electrochromic display element.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an electrochromic display element includes: a preparation process of preparing a solution containing at least one conductive nanoparticle of a tin oxide nanoparticle and a zinc oxide nanoparticle, and a viologen compound; and a coating process of applying the solution onto a substrate. The electrochromic display element comprises: a pair of substrates; electrodes respectively formed on a pair of opposite surfaces of the substrates; and a medium layer held between the pair of substrates. At least one of the electrodes includes a film containing at least one conductive nanoparticle of the tin oxide nanoparticle and the zinc oxide nanoparticle, and the viologen compound. |
