PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separator which can be used under broader conditions.SOLUTION: A sheet separator includes: a base arm part (2) and a support arm part (3) which are so disposed as to face each other with a space therebetween; a first linear member (5b) and a second liner member (5a) which are so stretched as to be spaced from each other in a first direction between the base arm part (2) and the support arm part (3); and a clamper (7) which is so provided that an attitude thereof can be converted between a separation attitude, in which separation between the first linear member (5b) and the second linear member (5a) is permitted, and a clamp attitude in which the first linear member (5b) is moved towards the second linear member (5a) so as to approach the second linear member (5a) in a second direction crossing the first direction and is arranged in parallel with the second linear member (5a).
