<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit generation of a large peeling vortex at an upper end of a downstream side wall surface portion of a heat exchanger of a drain pan and prevent deterioration of performance, such as increase in an air blower input and increase in noise.SOLUTION: An indoor unit for an air conditioner includes: an air blower for sucking air from an indoor side to inside of the unit; a heat exchanger that is arranged downstream of the air blower to cool or heat air from the air blower; a blowout port that is arranged downstream of the heat exchanger to blow out the air from the heat exchanger; and a drain pan that is arranged on the lower side of the heat exchanger to receive condensed water generated in the heat exchanger. The drain pan comprises: a bottom surface portion located on the lower side of the heat exchanger; and a downstream side wall surface portion erected upwards from the bottom surface portion on the downstream side of the heat exchanger. The downstream side wall surface portion constitutes part of an air flow passage leading to the blowout port and is formed to have a predetermined interval with the heat exchanger, and an upper portion of the downstream side wall surface portion is formed to be thicker than other portions thereof.</p> |
