<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency without sacrificing grinding accuracy in surface grinding processing of a shaft-like workpiece by a cylinder grinder.SOLUTION: Plural mechanically-selectable grind stone stages 40 are provided in parallel at a cylinder grinder. Grind stones 4D having different grinding characteristics from each other are fitted to the plural grind stone stages 40. A grind stone 4D for coarse grinding of high grinding efficiency or a grind stone 4D for finishing grinding of high grinding accuracy is mechanically switched and used corresponding to the surface condition of a shaft-like workpiece to be ground, to achieve both grinding efficiency and grinding accuracy.</p> |
