PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding method etc. which sets a pressing force of a paper feeding roller applied to sheets according to various paper thicknesses.SOLUTION: In a paper feeding method, a rotary paper feeding roller 20 is placed in pressure contact with sheets 5 loaded on a base 15 to feed the sheet 5a at an uppermost part from the base 15. A pressing force of the paper feeding roller 20 applied to the sheet 5 is adjusted on the basis of attribute information of the sheet 5 loaded on the base 15.
