An optical device with a high breakdown threshold is provided. The optical device may include a substrate and a coating layer coated to surround an optical switch. Here, the optical switch is formed with a carbon material, and may be located on one plane of the substrate. The optical device increases the breakdown threshold highly through the coating layer, and can adjust the characteristics of the optical device effectively. |
