PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measuring system for a medium boundary for measuring the position of a medium boundary between a measurement target object and a propagation space on the basis of the propagation time of electric waves.SOLUTION: The position measuring system for a medium boundary comprises a structure, an electric wave transmitter/receiver for transmitting/receiving electric waves in a propagation space, and a computation unit for performing operation control on the electric wave transmitter/receiver and position measurement processing on a measurement target object on the basis of the electric waves received by the electric wave transmitter/receiver. In the propagation space of the structure, there are installed a plurality of electric wave reflection means capable of detecting a position from the electric wave transmitter/receiver. The computation unit includes: propagation time measurement means for measuring a first propagation time sequence T(k=1,2,...,N) from transmission of electric waves toward the measurement target object by the electric wave transmitter/receiver to arrival of the electric waves at the electric wave reflection means and second propagation time Tto arrival of the electric waves at an interface with the measurement target object; and position measurement means for measuring a position of a medium boundary between the measurement target object and the propagation space. |
