1. A method of making a part comprising the steps of:
creating a first layer of polymeric material in a three-dimensional printing machine; emitting light onto the first layer after the prior step to cure, harden or bond the layer; creating at least a second layer of the polymeric material upon the first layer after the prior step; emitting light onto the second layer after the prior step to cure, harden or bond the second layer; forming a cavity in said second layers without the use of a space-defining structure; placing a prefabricated insert into said cavity causing the insert to be attached to at least one of the polymeric material layers in the three-dimensional printing machine; and removing the finished part from the three-dimensional printing machine wherein said part is integrally bonded to the printed part thus generating a single piece. |
