PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger having a connector in which its composing members can be reduced and the number of temporary fixing between the connector and a header pipe can be reduced.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a heat exchanger in which connectors 5 are integrally brazed to header pipes 2A, 2B communicated with and connected to both ends of laminated heat exchanging tubes. Each of the connectors comprises a connector base part 52 having one end opened at a piping port 50, a fitting part 53 having at its extremity end an abutting surface 54 that can be abutted against the side surface of the header pipe, and a thermal medium flow passage 57 communicating the piping port with a communication port 56 opened at the abutting surface. A thin wall part 55 formed at the abutting surface side of the fitting part is formed with a communication port of which diameter is smaller than a hole diameter of a communicating hole 40 of the header pipe, and at the same time a part around the opening part of the communicating port is formed with a fastening margin 58, and the fastening margin is processed with burring by a compression jig inserted from the piping port and fastened to make a temporary fixing of the header pipe and the connector. |
