<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which heat generation in a stator center portion can be reduced by improving an occupancy ratio of coil slot portions of a stator winding in slots provided in a stator core.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes an annular stator core 11 in which a plurality of slots 13 formed in an axial direction are provided in a peripheral direction and a stator winding 20 composed of a plurality of coil conductors 21 wound around the slots 13 of the stator core 11. The stator winding 20 is composed of coil slot portions 21a-21d inserted into the slots 13 and coil end portions 21e-21e extended to the axial-direction outside of the stator core 11. In the coil conductor 21 of the coil slot portions 21a-21d, a cross section of a center portion in the axial direction is larger than each of cross sections of both end portions and the cross section is gradually reduced from the center portion to both end portions.</p> |
