Twist beam axle and method for its production

The axle has wheel carrier flanges (2) held by tubular side arms and welded with the side arm. A display directed to the side arms is formed at the wheel carrier flanges. The display is adjusted to an inner contour of the side arms. The wheel carrier flanges has a set of spacers (4) spaced apart from the display. A chamfer designed as a weld preparation is provided at the wheel carrier flanges. The wheel carrier flanges are pressed in direction of the side arms. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a torsion beam axle.
