A cosmetic composition contains: - (A) a wax derived from a dialkyl(ene)alkoxy ether and a dialkyl(ene) carbonate; - (B) a silicone; - (C) an amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant; and - (D) a cationic polymer. - A cosmetic composition contains: - (A) a wax derived from a dialkyl(ene)alkoxy ether of formula (I) and a dialkyl(ene) carbonate of formula (II); - (B) a silicone; - (C) an amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant; and - (D) a cationic polymer. - R1-(OCnH2n)x-O-(CnH2nO)y-R2 (I) R3-O-C(O)-O-R4 (II) - Where: - R1, R3 and R4 = 16-36C alkyl and/or alkylene; - n and m = 2-4; and - x and y = 0-10 with x + y = 1-10. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a composition comprising by weight (a) (0.3-5%), (b) (0.2-5%), (c) (1-50%) and (d) (0.1-1%).
