<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in high temperature preservation characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery structured of a negative electrode and a positive electrode containing a material capable of occluding and emitting lithium, and nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and Li salt, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains 0.1 to 10 weight% of carbonate having an unsaturated bond, with a content of a compound shown in formula (1) to be ≤10 ppm. In the formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>8</SB>show chlorine atom or hydrogen atom. Also, at least one of R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>8</SB>is chlorine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
