<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demagnetizer and a demagnetization method, capable of demagnetizing or reducing magnetization of an overall signal path from an amplifier input to a speaker in an audio system, even in a speaker system having a speaker with a plurality of frequency bands such as 2 ways or 3 ways, not only a full range speaker. <P>SOLUTION: The demagnetizer includes: a plurality of oscillating units each provided for each frequency band, having mutually different frequencies of oscillated substantial sine waves; a multi-signal mixing unit for mixing the oscillated signal from the plurality of oscillating units each provided for each frequency band with a mixed signal; and a voltage control amplifier unit for generating an alternate demagnetization signal by gradually attenuating an envelope amplitude of the mixed signal.
