<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for reducing labor of an operator when a storage has become full while storing cash. <P>SOLUTION: When storing bank bills which were input, the number of bank bills to be accumulated in a bank bill temporal reserve part 23 is changed according to the number of the bank bills which can be stored in a bank bill storage 24. Then, bank bills which cannot be stored in the bank bill temporal reserve part 23 are returned to a bank bill deposit/withdrawal port 21 to be stored in it provisionally. The other bank bills are conveyed from the bank bill temporal reserve part 23 to the bank bill storage 24 so that an operator collects them from the bank bill storage 24.
