A lighting fitting comprises a housing having a transparent closure member made of synthetic plastic material not more than 1 mm. thick, a flexible strip containing permanently magnetized material being secured to the rim of the closure member to attach the member to the housing. The co-operating rim of the housing is made of ferromagnetic material. The fitting may be elongated to contain discharge tubes, and the closure member may be trough-shaped. |
