<p>A needle holder for a textile machine comprises a needle board (46) with parallel, transverse (31) grooves (46) on the upper side. Holes (51) spaced along each groove pass completely through the board from the upper side to the lower side (50). The diameter (E) of the holes is greater than the average value of the groove width or than the groove width in the groove base region. An independent claim is included for a needle for use in the needle holder of a textile machine (specificallly a holder as described above), comprising a working section (17), extending along a longitudinal axis (16) and having a tip (18); a lower shaft section (20) (following the working section) and an upper shaft section (25) (following the lower section), both extending coaxially along the longitudinal axis; and a needle base (30) (following the upper section) having a retaining device (32) extending in a straight line transverse to the longitudinal axis. The diameter (E) of the upper shaft section is greater than that of the lower shaft section and greater than the average width of the retaining device in the transverse direction.</p> |
