<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency oscillator that increases a power ratio of a harmonic to a fundamental in a small configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The high frequency oscillator includes: a second-order harmonic extracting oscillator 10 that oscillates in a fundamental of an oscillation frequency in response to an applied supply voltage to output a second-order harmonic of the oscillation frequency; and an output circuit 20 connected to an output terminal of the second-order harmonic extracting oscillator 10 and having a passband at the second-order harmonic of the oscillation frequency. The output circuit 20 has: a power terminal 21 for supplying the supply voltage to the second-order harmonic extracting oscillator 10; a coupling line 22 connected in series between the second-order harmonic extracting oscillator 10 and the power terminal 21 and having a length of substantially 1/4 the wavelength of the second-order harmonic of the oscillation frequency; a transmission line 23 connected in series between the second-order harmonic extracting oscillator 10 and the power terminal 21 and having a length of substantially 1/4 the wavelength of the second-order harmonic of the oscillation frequency; a first load resistance 24 for producing an output power depending on an amount of coupling of the coupling line 22; and a capacitor 25 connected in parallel with the power terminal 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
