An isolated polypeptide having glucoamylase activity, selected from the group consisting of: (a) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 90% identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2, of SEQ ID NO: 4 or of SEQ ID NO: 6; (b) a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 90% identity to the catalytic domain shown as amino acids 22 to 476 of SEQ ID NO: 2, of SEQ ID NO: 4 or of SEQ ID NO: 6; (c) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide that hybridizes under medium-high stringency conditions with (i) the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, of SEQ ID NO: 3 or of SEQ ID NO: 5, (ii) the cDNA sequence contained in SEQ ID NO: 1, of SEQ ID NO: 3 or of SEQ ID NO: 5, or (iii) a full-length complementary strand of (i) or (ii); and (d) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence having at least 90% identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, of SEQ ID NO: 3 or of SEQ ID NO: 5.
