The invention relates to the at least partial supply of an electrical system of a ship with at least one battery. To obtain a ratio of installed capacity to usable energy which is better than that provided by known solutions, the use of a high-temperature battery is proposed, the waste heat of which is conducted out of the battery by way of a duct system, using a first heat transfer medium, said waste heat being made available for further use outside said battery.
