<p>The present invention relates to a character input keyboard, comprising a first actuating member, a second actuating member, a connecting member, and a plurality of keys disposed on the first actuating member and/or the second actuating member; the first actuating member and the second actuating member are connected by means of a connecting member; when the first actuating member and the second actuating member move by means of the connecting member, the same keys output different characters. The present invention further relates to a character input method, comprising the following steps: detecting the magnitude and direction of relative displacement occurring between the first actuating member and the second actuating member; detecting whether there is a key press; according to the magnitude and direction of relative displacement occurring between the first actuating member and the second actuating member as well as the pressed key, determining the inputted character; displaying the inputted character on a display device. The present invention achieves with fewer keys the character input of a standard keyboard, making the keys more versatile; thus the volume of the keyboard is greatly reduced, making it convenient to carry, and the keyboard can be used for input while the body is in various postures, making the keyboard easy to use.</p> |
