<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for adjusting a number of paper sheets stacked in a paper discharge stacker where the state that the paper discharge stacker is filled with the paper sheets stacked therein is detected.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: a discharge part which discharges a transported medium; a medium loading part where a medium discharged from the discharge part is loaded; a detection member disposed between the discharge part and the medium loading part in a medium transport direction and used for detecting an amount of the medium discharged to the medium loading part; and a detection sensor which detects an operation of the detection member.
