PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution for increasing the potency of vaccines and a solution of the problem associated with low immunogenicity of vaccines.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to priming the immune system with a nucleic acid construct comprising at least one MHC class II associated invariant chain/CD74 (Ii) or a variant thereof and encoding at least one antigenic protein or a fragment of the antigenic protein, followed by a subsequent booster vaccination to increase the potency of the vaccine.
