The purpose of the present invention is to provide: carbon nanotubes which are useful as various materials; and a dispersion liquid of the carbon nanotubes. Carbon nanotubes according to the present invention are characterized in that the amount of desorbed carbon monoxide and the amount of desorbed carbon dioxide at 150-950°C in programmed-temperature desorption are within specific ranges.
