The present invention provides a battery pack which comprises a plate-shaped battery cell having electrode terminals formed on one side thereof comprising a sealed surplus part, and which has a structure wherein a protection circuit module (PCM) is mounted on the sealed surplus part, the battery pack being characterized in that: the electrode terminals of the battery cell are made of plate-shaped conductive members; the PCM comprises a printed circuit board (PCB), a safety element electrically connected between the PCB and the electrode terminals on the one side of the battery cell or mounted on the PCB, an external input/output terminal electrically connected to the protection circuit of the PCB, and an electrically insulating module case having the PCB and safety element mounted therein with the external input/output terminal extended to the outside; the PCM is mounted on the sealed surplus part of the battery cell while being electrically connected to the electrode terminals of the battery cell and accommodated in the module case; the module case comprises a PCB accommodation part having one side thereof open to the outside; and the module case has an adhesive fixing tape attached to an outer surface thereof which is in contact with the sealed surplus part. |
