<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve mechanism which prevents a flow of exhaust gas from hitting a torsion coil spring when a valve body is opened, and thereby no heat damage caused by the high temperature exhaust gas occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A variable valve mechanism includes: a torsion coil spring 51; a valve body 53 causing an exhaust gas passage 25a to be closed-state by the torsion coil spring 51; and a supporting member 52, wherein an open state of the exhaust gas passage 25a is changed by rotation of the valve body 53 due to pressure of the exhaust gas. The variable valve further includes a rotation shaft 54 for supporting rotatably the valve body 53. The torsion coil spring 51 has a first arm part 62 and a second arm part 63. The supporting member 52 has a first arm supporting part 74 for supporting the first arm 62, and a rotation shaft support part 72 for supporting the rotation shaft 54. The valve body 53 has a second arm support part 84 for supporting the second arm part 63, and a shielding part 83 for shielding diffraction of the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
