<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device monitoring system capable of protecting a TRAP packet from a loss caused by a deteriorated channel quality only by treatment on the terminal device side, as a monitoring network using TRAP packets of SNMP communication. <P>SOLUTION: In a system including two monitoring servers for monitoring the states of devices N1-N8 channel-connected in turn from an uplink direction to a downlink direction, in which a server A1 is disposed in the uplink direction while a server A2 is disposed in the downlink direction, and a TRAP packet is transmitted to both servers A1, A2 when a state changes in each device N1-N8, when for example, the device N3 detects quality deterioration of a radio channel WL34 between the devices N3 and N4, a channel deterioration notification packet indicative of that effect is transmitted to the devices N2, N1 which are located in the opposite direction to the radio channel WL34. Similar to the device N3, the devices N2, N1 suspend the transmission operation of the TRAP packet directed to the server A2 on a route passing through the radio channel WL34, and also perform operation to preserve a TRAP packet which occurs thereafter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
