A connector or kit of parts 210 facilitates sealingly inserting a plumbing member 211 into a gap created in an existing pipeline 200. The connector comprises a bridging sleeve 212, a first sealing device 214, a second sealing device 216, a first sealing element 218, and a second sealing element 220. In use, the first sealing device 214 forms a seal between the bridging sleeves 212 internal surface and an existing pipeline 200 external surface by compression of the first sealing element 218. The second sealing device 216 forms a seal between a plumbing member 211 internal surface and the bridging sleeves 212 external surface by compression of the second sealing element 220. The bridging sleeve 212 can be slidable over the existing pipeline 200. The first and/or second sealing devices 214, 216 can be clips or clamps, the latter applying a force on the external surface of the bridging sleeve 212 and/or plumbing member 211 to form the seals via the compression of the sealing elements 218, 220. |
